Superior experience of Japanese cuisine in small town of Teddington!Place is hidden from main road in Teddington but already famous for local residents since fully booked from early hours.Food is great and especially recommend Japanese sake tasting menu which is worth for penny!Very much likely Japanese authentic style is around all over the restaurant!Main chef and all staffs are very kind and friendly!Strongly recommend for those who are looking for genuine Japanese Izakaya in local.

Classic Japanese vibes with a small dish tapas style menu - the food is excellent! Also a large selection of Japanese beers, sake and whisky. Great for both large groups, intimate dinners and a quick snack and beer!

Homely Izakaya with fantastic food and sake.

Amazing food and the chef came out to talk about what we particularly liked so he could suggest things to try next time. Also very quick and friendly service. The eel sushi was superb. That was my first visit but definitely won't be my last.

We enjoy to go out. Last night we arrived in this fine restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a lovely time there with delicious cooking and a nice stuff and a distinguished chief cook. We added this venue in our phone list and we will definitely visit again very soon. Highly recommended.

Great experience, clean spacious surrounding, attentive helpful staff. The food is excellent, the menu is not overwhelming like many Japanese restaurants, everything we tried on the menu was excellent. We spoke to the manager/owner/man in charge.. he was very helpful and friendly, able to offer recommendations.Great night, we will be back

Taste of sushi unbelievable. Just perfect. Like elsewhere in London far too expensive. We spent 120 for 3 persons and went for a pizza afterwards...

Food excellent BUT, portions so small and price so hi it's just not worth it. We left there a d went to another restaurant because we were so hungry after paying £90 for basically some snacks

Always a wonderful place to eat, the waiter if very kind and attentive. The food is amazing! I seriously recommend the plum wine and the Yuzu ice-cream. Food is a little highly priced but reasonable and well worth it.Good friendly atmosphere, family friendly.

Love this restaurant. We have been here many times and it's my wife an I favourite dinner spot for date night. Food is delicious. By now we have tried the vast majority of the menu and nothing was less than great. While traditional Japanese food is available a more adventurous choice will give a much better experience imho. Drinks wise lots of sakes are available for tasting.

Great janapese food.

Fantastic food, exceptional service. An absolute hidden gem. We were a group of four and hadn't booked a table, arrived very close to closing time and they still seated us with no fuss. Aubergine is OUT OF THIS WORLD we ordered a second portion! Really reasonably priced and great selection. Will definitely return!

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Usually, I go for the Salmon Teriyaki Bento during for the lunch. The only problem is the waiting time, which can take up to 25 minutes. Be aware that place gets quite warm in the summer and the roof leaks during the rainy season. Stuff is very polite and attentive.

Absolutely the best Japanese restaurant I have been to. Incredible, melt in the mouth food that comes fresh, not held warm waiting for other dishes on your table to be ready. Hiroki is so knowledgeable and will recommend and guide you on everything on the menu. We've done whisky and sake tasting, tried the Japanese cocktails, and tried nearly every dish. If you are a fan of authentic Japanese cuisine, you won't be disappointed at all.

Such lovely staff and amazing food!

Went there to have sushi and sashimi. So far this place has the best and the freshest ingredients. I have to say in terms of flavors and texture, the sushi and sashimi here are much better than well known sushi places in London. If you are looking for a piece of tuna that rich in flavour and melt in your mouth, this is the place to go! Futhermore, the owner itself if very knowledgeable. He explained to us in detail about history of sake and other food to us. We have been there 3 times and the quality and consistency of food never dissappoint us! We will definitely go there again!

Simply delicious food, great selection of japanese drinks and very welcoming and friendly owner. One of our favourite restaurants. Best japanese food had outside of Japan. Also do very reasonably priced lunches.

Some friends recommended us Itabashi, so I went with my daughter today (Sunday afternoon). Mediocre food & service, limited menu items, does not offer a typical Japanese comfort food like Kitsune udon, which we were looking forward for. The California roll was a bit soggy. Waiter forgot my daughter's order, so her meal came after I finished mine. I could get much better shashimi from Atariya in Norbiton, so I would not go back.

Justly loved by locals. Really charming place, with friendly management and staff. Food is first rate, and there are many delightful intoxicating liquids to try too. Recommended without question.

Good food

Food here is amazing !! The best Japanese food I've ever had. The crab sushi rolls were soooooooo good!!Can only give four star because at the end of the meal, I asked for the service charge to be taken off (because the service wasn't great!) And the waitress said it was mandatory unless we had a complaint!

We are quite picky when it comes to Japanese food but this is a nice Japanese restaurant. They offer kids menu, adult set menu and a la cart. For the adults we ordered a sushi and sashimi set and various items from the menu, all delicious. The most intriguing was the funky oyster, my personal favourite the aubergine. Pity they didn't offer onigiri. Costumer service was excellent. A bit pricey but worth coming back.

Good sushi and not too pricy

Amazing food so expect to pay for it. The homemade kimchi made by their Korean chef is one of the best kimchi I’ve ever eaten! I know what I’m talking about because I lived in Korea for four years! The only letdown was the price. The six of us ate and drank and the bill was over 300 pounds.

One of the best Japanese in the country hidden in the back streets of suburban south west London. They have wide variety of Dishes in the Japanese tapa bar style. Their Japanese gains and whiskeys are especially good. The atmosphere is like being in Tokyo.

I found out real Japanese Izakaya at Teddinton, England! Karaage is good and feel same quality in Japan. Really appreciated Japanese staff to serve good dishes and time!
